He asked me, in his infinite wisdom to draw this scenario: 

a diagram of how the banana got so jealous at the butternut's hips that it turned into a phosphoric cucumber , but when it saw the pumpkin's divine curves it turned into a poisonous thorn-carpeted cactus aging in eternal sour solitude with only an occasional flower gracing it with the faint reminder of the soft sweetness it once carried beneath its exotically pealable skin :D
